Why birthdate?
Because Vecnine needs one fixed input that does not change with mood, self-image, wording, or the answers someone wants to give. The birthdate supplies that input. It does not explain why personality would correspond with it.
Here is the distinction that matters: the calculation is repeatable; the psychological claim still has to be tested.
One date gives one repeatable result.
Enter the same normalized birthdate twice and Vecnine returns the same sequence. There is no personality questionnaire and no scoring based on how you describe yourself.
That is the practical reason for using a birthdate: it lets the personality reading be generated before the person tells the system who they think they are.
Does the sequence actually describe the person?
Vecnine proposes that the calculated order corresponds with recurring personality patterns. The first two types give the easiest place to begin; the rest of the sequence adds detail, tension, and exceptions.
The calculation being repeatable does not prove that the personality interpretation is accurate. That has to be tested against real people, competing explanations, misses, and eventually independent studies.
A fixed calculation from birthdate produces a personality sequence that Vecnine is testing for psychological accuracy.
The date is an input, not a destiny story.
We are not claiming the planets caused your personality. Vecnine does not currently have a demonstrated causal mechanism linking date and personality.
We are not claiming scientific validation is already complete. The psychological prediction still needs stronger prospective and independent testing.
We are not claiming a sequence tells your whole life. Experience, relationships, culture, state, skills, and circumstance all affect how a stable personality pattern becomes visible.
The two methods answer the problem in opposite directions.
A questionnaire begins by asking you what sounds like you and then assigns a result from those answers. Vecnine begins with the date, produces the result first, and then asks whether the description matches.
That does not automatically make Vecnine more accurate. It makes the claim easier to challenge because the output is fixed before the person reacts to it.
Test the result instead of believing it.
Calculate people you know well. Read the first two types together before going deeper. Look for specific recurring motives and patterns rather than vague compliments. Keep the misses. Ask what another explanation would predict.
If the sequence repeatedly adds useful information, that is worth investigating. If it does not, the method should lose confidence rather than inventing an excuse.
